On Predicting My Future

Standard

Perfection can not be expected from an imperfect human brain as it is not aware about what is to happen next moment.

The human brain: The thing causing all those problems in the world

My professor would say that human brain is incomplete as it does not know what is going to happen next moment- not to talk of ten years after and to expect perfection from an imperfect being is a vain attempt.

My Favorite Way to Start the Day

Standard

More is wrought in this world with prayer than without it. A well begun is half done and all is well that ends well.

Call To Prayer – El-Mansouria Mosque

I start my day with ablutions and prayer in the mosque with group recitation of Awrad-i-Fathia-the wazifa gifted by Mir Sayid Ali Hamdani (RA) to the Kashmiris about 650 years ago with spiritual sanction from the Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBH).This follows drinking a warm glass of water mixed with honey and kalonji seeds and an exercise on the cycle to be followed by the mornig tea and breakfast. Next comes the news paper and TV newscast.

Sometimes the delayed flights prove worse than the road journey.

Standard

Never attempt a flight in a foggy weather.

Moon over city

I was flying from Delhi to Srinagar and the flight did not take off for three consecutive days due to fog and the next day it carried us to Jammu only- a 45 minutes journey and returned back to Delhi due to poor visibility in the late hours at Srinagar airpoprt. We had to remain in air for another hour as the landing site was not available at Delhi airport. We were accomodated in a shabby hotel instead of a 5 star hotel as per agreemwnt.
